INTRODUCTION Safety is the first thing that ship owner bear in mind before starting of their navigation. International Maritime Organization (IMO) requires all ships to conform with the International Regulation on Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) before sailing. Classification Societies ensure that the ship conforms with the SOLAS requirement before letting they navigate their ways. Therefore, shipping Industry able to operate effectively and maximize the survival rates in the events of accidents, if the regulations and standards are agreed adopted, and implemented. Fire Fighting Equipment and Life Savings Appliances needs to be re-inspected on a regular basis by an authorized and approved service station by the classification societies and regulatory bodies. Port Marine is a Malaysian owned company, registered and approved by the Classification Societies to perform the re-inspection on Fire Fighting Equipment and Life Savings Appliances and to issue the necessary safety certification for ship owner.
